Lime Stone Coast Pinot Grigio
The Carnival of Venice began in the 12th century – a celebration of victory against the Patriarch of Aquileia. Each year San Marco Square would fill with people dancing and feasting behind elaborate and exotic masks, adding to the mystique of the Carnival. And so La Maschera (the mask) was born. Protected from the harsh northern European climate by the Alps, these cooler climes are somewhat similar to the coastal maritime regions of the Limestone Coast where the grapes for this wine were harvested.
